Italian Matelasse Print 3 is a striking cloth that will create a statement garment. 145cm wide, heavy feel and very easy to sew is the perfect cloth for box pleat skirts, circle skirts, Vintage Vogue dresses and jackets, boxy tops, mini skirts, A- line skirts and so much more. An interesting print that looks like the world map in ribbon that is suitable for day to evening wear, special occasions and holidays. Washes well at 30 degrees. Matelasse is a weaving or stitching technique yielding a pattern that appears quilted or padded. This technique creates a jacquard look to the fabric.

I have made this delightful fabric into a sort of Chanel edge to edge jacket. The reverse is all white showing the embroidered look well enough to be able to use that side showing as well. Gorgeous for Spring wear as it’s got a warm feel to it.
