Family Holiday to Birmingham

Our family trip to Birmingham starts on Wednesday 10th August and continues till the late hours of Sunday 14th August. Stitch Fabrics of Wanstead will be closed during this period and I will be back in the shop bright and early 15th August Monday morning as normal.

A big Hello and Welcome to my weekly-ish newsletters to all my new subscribers. Our family trip to Birmingham is for the biggest quilting show in Europe. The Festival of Quilts!
From the 11th- 14th August you will find more different types of cottons under one roof than ever before. The NEC is a huge venue and will be filled with tons of colour, plenty of patterns and full of the most creative people you will ever meet. Everyone there has a love and a passion for quality fabrics and has flare for being creative. If you are a beginner or a pro in the world of quilting and crafting you are in for a treat at The Festival of Quilts.

At our stand you will find Dad Geoff, Mum Stacy and Myself Jenni. We work under M Rosenberg and Son and have a large stand full of beautiful cotton fabrics of a fantastic quality. Most 60″ wide (150cm) for only £6.00per metre. Our cottons are perfect for all crafts, quilting, patchwork and dressmaking. There is no shrinkage in our cottons or colour run. Our cottons have been known to last for generations of washes. We also take with a selection of our dressmaking fabrics with us. We like to bring a variety of everything so I promise you there will be a fabric on our stand just for you. Any advice or questions you have the family and I will be ready and waiting.

FAB17
Whilst we are on our ‘family holiday’ in Birmingham there is one key family member that we have left behind. My lovely Brother Andrew who will be in the warehouse with a team of strong men lifting and carrying fabric out of the warehouse so we can put down wooden floor for you all. The ideas have been flowing and we are so excited about our big move from the shop to the warehouse. We have a lot of work to do before we open our entire world to you at Warehouse FAB17 however just to give you a tiny idea of our vision feel free to visit my Pinterest Page for a cheeky peak.

WESBITE ORDERS
Due to The Festival of Quilts any orders made from Wednesday will be delayed till next Monday when I am home. I will have my laptop with me so any questions or if you would like any information email me and when I get a second at the end of the day I will hopefully get back to you. You can stay in touch with me and get all the action at The Festival Of Quilts via FacebookTwitterPinterest & Instagram.

FAB17

FAB 17 is a 1930s art deco warehouse in South Woodford where our entire collection of fabrics is waiting for you to discover. The warehouse has been around for a number of years and is our main work space in which we prepare fabrics for all our road shows and big events.
The warehouse has become my Dad’s second home with different types of fabrics passing through every day as deliveries are a constant flow of excitment in the warehouse. Our vision is to open up the warehouse to the every day dressmaker & crafter, sewing schools, fashion designers, the 1metre purchase to the 20 metre sewing fanatic. To inspire a new generation of sewers and to bring the lost dressmaker back to the sewing room. There will be more workshops, more fabrics and more space than ever before. M Rosenberg & Son is finally opening its doors to our whole world. This has been over 60 years in the making and I hope you will love what my family has created for you. We want our warehouse to be your warehouse and to remain an active work space full of colour, design, pattern, texture and quality fabric.

We have a vision and now the process has begun.
We are getting creative ourselves as the warehouse needs to be looking tip top for our new shopping and creative area. There are parking facilities and we will only be a 5minute walk from South Woodford Station. There will be other transport and parking facilities available once we have found our feet.

I am proud to say we are re- locating to a much bigger premises just around the corner from where we are based now in South Woodford, Ravon Road. Fingers crossed this will take place at the end of August. I will keep you all in the loop of what, when where & how.

If you have any questions please do get in touch with me.
