What an incredible start to the year we’ve had! From Trumpington and Cambridge to Berkhamstead, Tadcaster and even a cheeky fabric-buying trip to Italy — it’s been an action-packed start to the year!

Now we’re gearing up for March — the official sewing season! You’ll find us at some of the biggest and best events in the calendar:

These are fantastic events where we showcase our handpicked collection of quality dressmaking fabrics. We’re always on the lookout for unique and individual fabrics to help you sew pieces that truly reflect your authentic self.

When’s the best time to visit our stand?

Early birds, this one’s for you.
Arrive first thing in the morning and you’ll see our stand at its absolute finest — beautifully colour-coordinated, neat, and wonderfully organised. If you share my slight OCD tendencies, you’ll be very satisfied with the display!

As the day goes on, things get lively. Fabrics start flying, bolts are being unrolled, and the stand takes on a life of its own. It’s busy, energetic, and definitely not for the faint-hearted — so if you see something you love, grab it and hold on tight!

Late afternoon visitors, you’re in for a different kind of magic.
By then, the stand may look like it’s been turned upside down in the most creative way possible. But this is where the real treasure hunting begins. Me, Sam, and Geoff are completely at home rummaging through the fabric piles. We know exactly what’s left and what you’ve been searching for — and we love helping you find that perfect piece.

Whether you like it neat and colour-coded or gloriously chaotic, we can’t wait to see you in March. Come and say hello! 🧵✨

It’s been quite a while since my last post to you all — and oh my goodness, what a whirlwind it’s been!

In that time, the warehouse has welcomed thousands of beautiful new fabrics… and sent them off to loving new homes just as quickly. Bolts have rolled in and out like they’re on a fashion runway, and we’ve barely had time to catch our breath (or make a proper cup of tea!).

For our wonderfully loyal customers who’ve been with us since the very beginning of our fabric adventure — you’ll know it’s very much a family affair. My brother Andrew has flown in from Canada a few times, popping in and out of the warehouse and slotting straight back into the team as if he’d never left. No dramatic entrance, no fancy accent — just Andrew, usually with his sleeves rolled up and ready to get stuck in wherever he’s needed (and perhaps gently reminding us he’s technically on “holiday”).

Meanwhile, Geoff (Dad), Sam, and I have held down the fort as the steady warehouse trio — cutting, packing, lifting, laughing… and occasionally wondering where is that fabric hiding!

And now… we have some very happy news.

We’ve recently welcomed a bright new face to the warehouse family — Sasha! I truly can’t tell you how overjoyed I am to have a girl in my corner. The warehouse is such a busy, creative, and inspiring place to be, and Sasha has fit right in, bringing such wonderful energy with her.

Of course, no day would be complete without Mum (Stacy) popping in and out, keeping us all in check and making sure everything is running like clockwork. Thanks to her watchful eye — and plenty of teamwork — your orders are being processed as quickly as humanly possible.

And then there’s the other sparkling side of our little treasure trove — our much-loved fabric roadshows.

These began nearly four decades ago (which feels both impressive and slightly alarming!) when Geoff and his dad Maurice — my wonderful grandad and the proud “M” in M Rosenberg & Son — started packing up fabrics and heading out on the road long before I was even a twinkle in anyone’s eye. What began as a simple idea has grown into something truly special.

Our roadshows are your chance to fall head over heels with fabric at first touch. We take over entire village halls up and down the country, transforming them into colourful, inspiring spaces filled with possibility. For a day, those halls become buzzing hubs of creativity, chatter, and the very serious business of “just one more metre.”

Our aim has always been to create a welcoming, passionate space where every dressmaker — whether you’re threading a needle for the first time or you could sew a zip in with your eyes closed — feels excited to get creative. We want you to have the time to indulge your personal style, dream up your next project, and simply be you.

And Sam? Well, he’s taken our roadshow adventures further than we ever imagined. We now travel to over 12 different areas (and counting!), as well as attending the big fabric events like the Knitting & Stitching Shows and Sewing for Pleasure. It still amazes us how far these fabrics — and this family — have journeyed.

The very best part? Our roadshows are free entry and open to absolutely everyone. From novices to seasoned experts, you are all welcome. When you walk through those doors, you’re not just browsing fabric — you’re joining our fabric family. And we couldn’t be more grateful to share that with you.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your support means the world to our little warehouse family. We’re so grateful for each and every one of you — and we can’t wait to share what’s next. 💛

Hello. I am a colour stylist based in Yalding in Kent. I organise two sewing groups and have helped them all find their best fabric colours and have run workshops to help build outfits and create personal colour wheels.

Usually a colour analysis session would cost £99 (this includes a full make up session, jewellery and hair colours),but I am offering a special shorter session for dressmakers which will just find your best colours.

For £49 you can have a full draping session and take away some charts of your colours to carry around. You can also purchase fabric swatches of your favourite colours at £1.50 each if you wish.
Visit my website mycolourstylist.co.uk to find out more information.
I will be at Hayes Village Hall with Stitch Fabrics on October 20th. You can pre book a session with me at Hayes or at my home by emailing hello@mycolourstylist.co.uk or just come and say hello on the day.
Look forward to seeing you

The rumours are true… We have started ‘the big move’ into the warehouse! This week I have had so much fun finding all these secret fabrics I didn’t even know we had. I have handled hundreds and hundreds of fabrics in the past 5 days my imagination has gone crazy with sewing ideas. I have truly been inspired and all I want to do is sit down and sew all weekend!!

Please find below a few pictures of what the warehouse is looking like now!!
